Aerialist Seanne Sharpe performed a crazy silks routine over the Williamsburg Bridge Monday evening. From today's article on Gothamist:
"After climbing some 300 feet up, the leotard-and-ribbon clad Sharpe performed a 15-minute acrobatic routine suspended between the two towers closest to the Manhattan side, tethered by a 90-foot, white silk rope. The cops arrived around 7:20 p.m. and stared up with a throng of cyclists and pedestrian passerby until Sharpe and Skinner (in a black suit and bowler hat) descended—and promptly took off running. They were apprehended mid-bridge, charged with reckless endangerment and criminal trespassing, and taken into custody.
