This weekend a group of us piled into a car and made our escape out of the city for the day. We drove to Lawrence Farms Orchards in the Hudson Valley for gobs of fresh air and freshly picked produce. We got plenty of both.
You had your pick of a variety of apples and pears, concord grapes, long rows of kale that cost only $2 a head, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, squash - pretty much anything that you would want, fresh and plentiful complete with a gorgeous view of the Hudson Valley.
I kept referring to our trip as the Adult Fresh Air Fund. I think more trips upstate will be planned soon.
